The 17th Annual Katy Triathlon, the third largest co-ed triathlon in Texas, will move to Firethorne
Sunday, Oct. 25, 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m., in and around the 1,400-acre Katy/Fulshear master-designed community. The Katy Triathlon at Firethorne, a USA Triathlon-sanctioned race, features a 1/3-mile swim in the 12-acre Lake Firethorne, a 15-mile bike race and a three-mile run through Firethorne. Proceeds benefit the Katy Rotary Fund, which supports essential children ’s health, recreation and educational services in Katy ISD’s attendance area. Yes, lenders need to be prudent in underwriting with reasonable underwriting
and with sufficient equity from borrowers, which protects both the lender and the borrower in the case of a longer-than-anticipated recovery. However, this is not a time for overreaction against construction lending altogether. Texas will need appropriate lending liquidity to help fuel the recovery we are starting to experience.
