various government programs being offered to buyers. A huge wave of buyers is
expected during the first four months of 2010 that must be under contract by
April 30 and close by June 30 to receive the first time home buyer credit of up
to $8,000 and up to $6,500 for repeat buyers. The market is not immune to the
challenges presented due to stricter mortgage under-writing requirements,
foreclosures, appraisal issues, job losses, etc. However, with the exception of
the depressed high-end markets, year end statistics for 2010 will likely be
even with 2009.
