1) Congratulations to Craig Daly and Ashley Moss, Clements High School graduate and
daughter of Sugar Land
’s Paula Moss, who tied the knot in April at Azul Beach Hotel, Mexico, with
friends and family on hand to celebrate. The couple met in Dallas while Ashley
was attending SMU; the Dalys are now at home in Chicago.
2) It looks like another hot ticket is off the market... KK and Scott West were
overheard announcing her daughter
’s engagement recently to Matt Slataper of the Fort Worth area. The pair met at
SMU and plan to tie the knot in January and make their home in Dallas.
Children’s Museum of Houston’s Sixth
Annual Fort Bend Spring Luncheon: Hats, Gloves and Boutonnières
Hundreds of ladies put on their new spring hat and white gloves for the Children’s Museum of Houston’s Sixth Annual Fort Bend Spring Luncheon, Hats, Gloves and Boutonnières, held at Sweetwater Country Club in May. The 2009 luncheon was chaired by
Sugar Land resident Nancy Olson, wife of State Rep. Pete Olson; keynote speaker
was Louise Parsley, who has delighted readers for years with her columns about
family life featured in community newspapers and magazines. Hats off to all the
ladies! The event raised over $18,000 for the museum
’s outreach efforts in literacy programs, which serve low income families in Fort
Bend County.

MAD HATTER SPRING LUNCHEON
& FASHION SHOW
Fort Bend Meals on Wheels presented its second annual Mad Hatter Spring Luncheon
& Fashion Show at the Sugar Land Marriott. Great Day Houston’s Deborah Duncan served as the event’s keynote speaker, and a festive fashion show debuted some of the latest styles
for the Mad Hatter attendees. Organized in 1974, Fort Bend Seniors provides
Meals on Wheels, congregate meals, transportation, health screenings and more.
Each program and service enables seniors to remain in their homes and continue
to be an integral part of the community for as long as possible.
