BON APPETIT IMPERIAL PERFORMING ARTS
The Imperial Performing Arts presented Bon Appetit, three short, one-acts with a comic appeal. Held at the Houstonian Golf & Country Club in Richmond, over 100 guests gathered to see the performances and enjoy a delicious dinner. The Imperial Performing Arts is Fort Bend County ’s first and only resident professional performing arts organization.

BEST IN THE WEST
Best in the West is a popular annual shindig at the George Ranch that draws hundreds of western-wearing supporters to enjoy great barbecue, live music and a slew of auction items. This year ’s event proved to be another success, and raised proceeds for its beneficiary, The Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC).

Dee Koch was honored by The Rotary Club of Fort Bend County as the 2009 Humanitarian of the Year, amidst a ballroom filled with friends and community members. The award is given annually; Dee received it for helping to improve the quality of life for those in the community and her many years of leadership. From her early days of service at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce to her many years as grants administrator of The George Foundation, Dee has made community service an important part of her life.

TASTE OF SUGAR LAND
The 7th annual Taste of Sugar Land went off without a hitch! Touting live entertainment and dozens of restaurants, guests strolled the Sugar Land Marriott to sample fare and enjoy great conversation. Presented by First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land, the event benefits East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry and Fort Bend Family Promise.

MINUTE MAID SOIREE
22) Minute Maid’s Bruce McGee, former Astro Craig Biggio, Fred Arnold of Minute Maid and Jamie Hildreth of the Astros had a great time at the holiday tree lighting at Sugar Land Town Square. The party was held in Minute Maid ’s corporate office overlooking the tree lighting at Town Square.
23) Jacqueline Chaumette, Christen Johnson and KK West had a “ball” visiting with Craig Biggio at the event. Several Astros items were auctioned off at the Minute Maid soiree.
