On Dec. 22, the Clements Rangers played a great game against the Crosby Cougars.
The afternoon match started off with Clements dominating on the boards and
perimeter shots, and that is how the remainder of the game went. The Rangers
have had a disappointing season with a 2-7 record. However, when compared to
the Cougars
’ 5-11 record, it seems rather average. Key players in the match up were the
Rangers
’ guard Victor Mbachu and Alonzo Golden, one of Clements’ vital players. These teams hope to redeem themselves in the upcoming games.
The Austin Bulldogs and the Cypress Creek Cougars squared on off on Dec. 18, and
the game was anything but boring. After a controversial first quarter, the
Bulldogs hoped to gain enough momentum to defeat the Cougars. However, Robert
Goffney and Rashaun Riley combined for a total of 34 of the 71 Cougar points.
They also raked in a combined 11 boards. Despite Austin
’s star Ryan Manuel’s hard effort, the Cougars came away with a 61-71 victory. Austin will attempt
to maintain their winning record in the upcoming games.
