Cinco Ranch and Telfair’s new-home sales increased by double digits in 2009 at two Fort Bend County
master-planned communities being developed by Newland Communities.
Cinco Ranch, a 7,600-acre community developed by Newland Communities in Katy,
posted a 15 percent sales increase, with homebuilder's selling 892 homes in
2009, compared to 773 in the previous year. Last year was the best year for
new-home sales in Cinco Ranch since 2006, and the third-best year in the
history of the community, which opened in 1991.
At Telfair, a 2,018-acre community in Sugar Land, sales were up 10 percent, with
homebuilder's selling 449 homes in 2009, up from 408 in 2008. It was the best
year for new-home sales in Telfair since the community opened in 2006.
Strong relocation and local move-up sales, new homebuilder's and added amenities
