The third annual Pancakes & Pajamas Children’s Festival, presented by the Fort Bend Junior Service League and Texas Children’s Hospital, will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Honor Roll
School in Sugar Land. The theme for this event is
“Wacky Wonka and the Pancake Factory” and is sure to provide adventure and fun for the entire family.
The 2009 event raised $31,000 for Fort Bend charitable organizations, and with
the generous support of community sponsors, Pancakes
& Pajamas hopes to raise even more in 2010. Proceeds from the 2010 event will
benefit East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry and Fort Bend Lawyers Care.
East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry is a nonprofit organization that addresses the basic human needs of Fort Bend
families and senior citizens. Its primary program is the Interfaith Food
|
Pantry, which provides uninterrupted services to thousands of local residents.
EFBHNM also provides financial services to assist during times of crisis with
housing, utility and medical expenses.
Fort Bend Lawyers Care is a nonprofit organization that offers pro bono legal
services to low-income citizens by coordinating a process to allow volunteer
attorneys to accept legal cases of qualified clients. FBLC further provides
annual walk-in legal clinics to assist citizens with a variety of legal issues
including family law, consumer, landlord-tenant, probate and estate planning
matters.
