Fort Bend Lifestyles & Homes December 2009
<<BACK
Well-known Impressionist artist Sylvia Trybek decided to celebrate the talent of many of her current students through an exhibit at Artists ’ Alliance of Sugar Land. Many of Sylvia’s original paintings will be displayed in the show, but she wanted to be sure her talented students have the opportunity to show how beautiful their work is, too.
Trybek is an award-winning artist specializing in representational painting including still lifes, landscapes and figurative works. Working alla prima from life models and subjects is her preferred form of self-expression. Trybek received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston.
Today, Trybek lives and works in Houston. She has
been showing her paintings nationwide and she is a much sought after fine art painter as well as instructor.
“My style of work could be defined as impressionistic—inspired by light bouncing off what I see and woven tightly with the mood that I experience. ”
The public is invited to a reception for the students of Sylvia Trybek, on Friday, Dec. 4 and Dec. 18, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Artists ’ Alliance of Sugar Land. The gallery, located at 104 Industrial Boulevard, Suite Q, Sugar Land, is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday and Sunday. Artists ’ Alliance can be contacted at 281-565-0957.
