Robert Davis, founding partner of HWD, Inc., immediately understood the vision of Lake Pointe and HWD’s important part in it when HWD, Inc. first met with Planned Community
Developers and City of Sugar Land officials. Lake Pointe Town Center features a
variety of residential offerings by HWD Homes, including four mini communities.
Brick lined paths, antique street lights and architectural variety connect
residents with the pulse of the community.
Towne Court Live Work contains 20 homes, located between Lake Pointe Town Center
commercial and HWD residential enclaves.
Towne Court was conceived to serve
|
as a special zone within Lake Pointe to allow a business and/or professional
space on the first floor of a select group of homes. By design, the homes are
reminiscent of deco 1920s Texas Towne Square architecture.
“We chose this aesthetic for its simplicity and elegance, as well as to serve as
a physical statement of the idea for which it was created. Cities such as New
York, Washington and London established the precedent for Towne Court,
” Davis said.
Towne Court uses include office, professional, limited-by-appointment and
boutique establishments. Current resident businesses include an artist
’s studio, real estate agents and financial consultants, to name a few.

signage is encouraged to showcase the business inside. The interior spaces
reflect the exterior with large first floor and loft spaces, oversized store
front windows, luxury kitchens, master baths and elevator capability. Homes
range from 3,100 to 4,300+ square feet.
Fifteen of the homes are complete. “We are pleased at the success that we have seen in this and the entire
community,
” Davis said. “We feel our residents truly have something special in Lake Pointe and Towne
Court. Their homes and the entire community are in concert with urbanity and a
pedestrian-friendly quality of life. HWD builds homes that endure.
