curriculum of students in approximately 25 counties in southeast Texas and
along the Gulf Coast, although the majority of students attend schools in Fort
Bend, Harris and surrounding counties. The ranch utilizes hands-on,
interactive, period-specific teaching artifacts and costuming to make Texas
history come alive.

quail valley resident awakens to ike’s wrath. Marilyn Weaver of Missouri City woke up to quite a surprise the morning after Ike. Weaver, a 24-year resident of
Quail Valley, explained that a spurt/downspout off Hurricane Ike apparently
took a clear path down Glenn Lakes and then directly hit her property as the
street curved. Five trees fell domino style covering her home and two cars. Two
of the trees were uprooted and one was 3 1/2 feet in diameter and approximately
40 feet tall.

Approximately 300 alumni from years past were able to reconnect with classmates
as well as the new class of 49 community leaders who were introduced and given
